Mocha Fraps

I rescued a beta from Walmart tonight. Some idiot opened his container and put coffee beans in the water. I'm surprised he was alive, the beans had already made the water yellow and smelled heavily of coffee. It was also completely clouded with fish waste. (There was a beta in crystal clear water right beside him, it was just the two of them.)

I took him to customer service to complain and the lady told me that he was just gonna go right back to the fish department and that nobody was going to change his water because they weren't supposed to. They said that the dealer is supposed to handle the care of the fish, so the employees would do nothing, just in case the fish came like that. How stupid is that?! He didn't come to them with coffee beans in there and nobody noticed, his container was slightly open, showing that he was tampered with. What's more is she suggested that it wasn't coffee, that they were watermelon seeds and that he probably came to them with "watermelon in the water".

I certainly wasn't gonna let him either be forgotten about and die behind the service counter or put back in the fish department to die in the shitty/coffee water, so I bought him. She offered to take off 49 cents, but it wasn't worth it, I just wanted him out of there to either get better or die in some clean water in a home.

He seems to be doing fine now, so I decided to name him Mocha. Mocha Fraps.
